This Is Why I Blog

This contest made me think hard and dig deep in my heart to find my reason for blogging. Big and serious a topic for a small and serious girl like me.

Truth is, I had been meaning to start my own blog since late 2009 when I signed up for a two-day seminar on Internet Marketing. I even enrolled in a one-year coaching program also on Internet Marketing. Despite it all, I never did have one piece except now and this.

Well, it’s a good start to make the ball rolling. Why then will I blog and continue blogging? After searching deep in my heart, I now know the real reason.

Blogging will be a platform for my advocacies. Oh yeah right, it will also be my escape from the harsh world called life. But, it will foremost be my arena to make the Philippines a better place to live in.

On that note, here are my leading advocacies:

1) To unify communities and all sectors to take care of Mother Nature before she ultimately unleashes her wrath on dear earthlings for their ungratefulness to her beautiful gift;

2) To inspire in every Filipinos a Rizalian spirit in order to alleviate poverty as Rizal is not only a genius but a man of service;

3) To show the world that Philippines is a paradise by exploring its warm and innate beauty; and

4) To make Filipinos, who are contemplating on permanently jumping out the fence of the Philippines to look for greener pasture, realize that there’s no place like home, that grass within the fence is greener if they are only to look harder.

Dear readers and fellow bloggers, please tell me that I am at the right track. All the same, I am mostly hopeful in my endeavours. I also pray that my zest for life will continue to fuel my energy to accomplish all the said goals and more.

You may ask, how about money? Let’s face it; there is DEFINITELY money in blogging. My, my, my, money is never an issue in my life. Money had always been the last thing on my mind but I don’t mind if I earn while doing what will make me happy. That’s hitting two birds with one stone.

There it goes! Whooa(wiping sweat)! That was draining for me.

It was like when I was choosing the right course for me or when I was choosing the job where I will be most happy. In both instances, I trusted the beatings of my heart and made the right choice. I hope that in this, my heart is again right.
